I’m Alison, a BACP-registered counsellor, artist and practicing GP . In my work at Redwing Counselling, I work purely in the role of a therapist, offering a calm, steady, safe space for people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unheard.
I support people navigating anxiety, low mood, burnout and the emotional pressures that accompany juggling modern life. My approach is quiet, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that feeling safe is the starting point for meaningful change.
I create a space for this — gentle, clear, confidential, empathic, congruent and free from judgement.
I have a specific passion for supporting medical professionals who lack any meaningful space to explore the trauma they see and experience. I have my own experiences of a vulnerable and stressful career in the NHS.

I offer a safe space in ways to suit you as an individual:
Face‑to‑face sessions — in my home quiet space.
Online counselling — steady support from wherever you are.
Walk‑and‑talk therapy — gentle movement alongside compassionate exploration.
Art groups — creative, reflective spaces for expression and connection.
Please reach out in your own time, and we can begin with a completely free first 15 minute conversation — simply a chance for us to sense whether this space feels right for you, and whether we’re a good fit for one another.
